Ancestors of Rene LEFEBVRE ..... 'The French Connection'

This Ancestor Journal contains the ancestors of Rene LEFEBVRE (b. 1891), Kathy WATSON's biological maternal grandfather. iThis report is in Ancestor or Ahnentafel Report format and includes all the direct ancestors, their spouses and children that I have been able to identify to-date. Interestingly the majotity of these families trace their heritage to French settlers who came to New France (Quebec) circa 1650 .

Rene LEFEBVRE, Kathy WATSON's biological grandfather, was born in Montreal. About 1914 he found employment at the Stevens-Hepner Brush Factory in Port Elgin, Ontario. At this time he had an apparent relationship with Phemie SAUNDERS and as a result there was a daughter Jean SAUNDERS born out of wedlock in Port Elgin in November of 1915. Jean was adopted by Daunt and Louisa METCALFE of Greenock Township, Bruce County and they named their chosen daughter Florence Mae METCALFE. Florence being Kathy WATSON mother.
